The Managing Partners of CE Solutions Group are Gene Kirby and Davis Stewart.   Together they have more than 60 years of combined experience working across the financial services industry.   They have strong relationships with executive level contacts at banks, credit unions, trade associations and solutions providers across the industry.


Gene Kirby

Managing Partner

Gene Kirby is an experienced Financial Services Executive who drives change and delivers profitable growth by reinventing business strategies and building high performance teams. Gene has over 30 years of experience in the industry having served in multiple roles across retail banking, commercial banking, marketing and executive management. Prior to forming his consulting firm Mr. Kirby was President of NewAlliance Bank in New Haven, CT where he was responsible for all lines of business within the company. Prior to joining NewAlliance, he was with SunTrust Banks in Atlanta, GA where he was Corporate Executive Vice President responsible for the retail line of business, the commercial line of business, consumer product management, call center operations and corporate marketing. Gene is a former Chairman of the Consumer Bankers Association, active across the financial services industry and a frequent speaker at banking conferences across the country. Gene has an undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech and received his MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.



Davis Stewart

Managing Partner

Davis Stewart is an industry leader in bringing transformational payment technologies to retail banks that require dramatic cultural and organizational change. Davis is the founder of Davis Stewart Enterprises Inc; a successful bank consulting firm specializing in payments based innovation and revenue and cost optimization, which is now part of the CE Solutions Group. Davis brings over 30 year’s industry experience selling and leading organizational change in the financial services industry. He began his career in 1980 at Harland Clarke check printers and was responsible for servicing the 30 largest banks in the US. After leaving Harland Davis was one of the initial managers to develop the eBanking practice for KPMG Consulting, educating customers and equity partners on the potential value of Internet Banking and Bill pay services. Prior to forming his own consulting firm Davis worked for several payment solution providers and developed a deep understanding of card based payment strategies. Davis is a graduate of the University of Georgia and a frequent speaker at banking conferences.
